Reminders, when needed
Sprout sets each plant's schedule from its pot size and material, drainage, room light, window aspect and the season, so Today lists only what is due. A Monstera in a 24cm terracotta pot by a bright window dries out faster than one in plastic in a dim corner, and is watered sooner.
Set a location and Sprout reads the local forecast. Before a hot, dry week it offers to water two days sooner, and before a cool, wet spell two days later. You approve every change.

Draw your home
Trace your floor plan once. Mark the windows, point north, and Sprout works out how much light each room gets and which way it faces, then places every room on the same five-rung scale it matches species against.
Light crosses one doorway and loses a step on the way, so a room two doors from a window gets none of its light.

See it built
Watch a home go from an empty plan to a finished one in under a minute. Lay out the rooms, mark the windows and point north, and Sprout works out how much light reaches every corner, follows the sun through each window, then shows where each plant will do best.
When something looks wrong
Start from what you can see: yellow leaves, brown tips, sudden drop, fungus gnats. Answer what else is true and the ranking shifts, because a supporting clue lifts a cause and a contradicting one pushes it down.
Every cause is weighted by what your species is prone to. A fern with crispy edges is a different problem from a cactus with crispy edges, and the answer comes with what to do about it.
Something worth keeping
Every plant gets a diary: photos, measurements, milestones, repottings and problems go in it, and the measurements draw a growth chart.
Toxicity is rated separately for cats, dogs and people.
Tell Sprout you have cats or dogs and it warns you which plants are toxic to them.

Every species comes with its watering intervals, feeding cycle, ideal light and a toxicity rating for cats, dogs and people. New species are added as the list grows.

Private by design
Your plants, photos, diary and schedule stay on your phone and are never uploaded. Sprout has no server of its own, no analytics and no profile of you.
If you set a location, its coordinates go to the weather service, Open-Meteo, to fetch your forecast. They are rounded to about a kilometre first, and nothing else is sent with them or on its own.

No. There is no account, and your plants, photos and diary stay on your phone.
No. Reminders are scheduled by your phone itself, so they arrive when Sprout is closed.
Yes. Schedules, the planner, diagnosis and your diary all work without a connection. Only the weather forecast needs one.
You can't add it yet: schedules need one of the species above, and more are added over time. You can still diagnose it, with general advice instead of advice for its species.
Yes. Save a backup from Settings and restore it on the new phone. The file goes wherever you send it, and nowhere else.
